Bio:

I have been piloting the Dolly for over 25 years. I cannot think of a better occupation. Early on, I proudly served in the United States Air Force and was involved with two other businesses.

Originally from the state of Wisconsin and yes, a Green Bay Packers fan! I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and listening to their comments. I am very pleased with our crew and take great pride in managing operations. The comments I receive about our cruise and crew members are very rewarding. Our crew works very hard on representing the Dolly well and do so very effectively. There are three things that inspire me when piloting the Dolly. My passion is to exceed my passengers’ expectations. Secondly, I am still awestruck with the rugged beauty of the mountains, water and sky and in how they complement one another beautifully. Thirdly, can it get more magnificent than to have desert bighorn sheep climbing a cliff face with eagles soaring overhead? Come take a cruise, I would very much like to meet you.

Bio:

My brother Jeff (Captain) and I have been co-owners of the Dolly for over 30 years. I am originally from Eau Claire Wisconsin and have lived in Arizona for over 40 years.
I enjoy travel. There is no better way to learn about different cultures than to visit them and learn firsthand. We also spend our weekends in the White Mountains of Arizona, or a quick trip to visit one of the many friends we have met through travel.
I have also been involved in many civic organizations in the area and have enjoyed marketing the Dolly in the Valley of the Sun and the state of Arizona. I am proud of the service and experience we have brought to many people throughout the years. It is so rewarding to see people enjoying themselves and telling us what a wonderful experience the Dolly is.

I am fourth generation Arizonan on one side, and fifth on the other. To say we grow deep roots is an understatement.

I have been working at the Dolly since 1997. I was a crew member, a captain, and even help with the maintenance and upkeep of the boat.

I am proud to be from Arizona, and love sharing the beauty and wonder of it with others.

Bio:

Originally from the mid-west, I moved to Arizona with my family as a child.

My husband and I have raised our sons here in Apache Junction. We enjoy spending time on the rzr exploring the back country of Arizona.

We spend a lot of time outdoors when possible, and love to keep moving and working out as well. We try to stay healthy by going to the gym often.

I really enjoy hearing back from our customers after they have experienced the Dolly. We have so many folks who celebrate life milestones with us, and we become and important part of their memories.

Bio:

Originally from Kansas and raised on a farm in the Kaw River Valley. Most of my life I was involved in industrial and heavy equipment maintenance and repair.

I have been aboard the Dolly since March of 2017 and enjoy my position as Captain.

Interacting with people from all over the world, while surrounded by wildlife and the majestic scenery of Canyon Lake creates a one of a kind work experience.

Every cruise is a unique opportunity. Big Horn Sheep at the waters edge or maybe an Eagle catching a fish. You never know what amazing sights the cruise will provide.

I hope to see you soon for a truly one of a kind journey aboard the Dolly Steamboat.

I am originally from Mesa, a native to this area. I have been with the Dolly since November of 21.
I am the mother of 10 kids and a grandma of twins. Yes! Ten kids. They are the best and I am super proud of how caring and selfless they are.

I spend a lot of time at the gym and working on myself. I am a life coach as well as my time on the Dolly.

I can’t express how much I love the scenery and the stillness (most days) at Canyon Lake. It is such a healing place to be. I also love people; getting to know about them is my favorite part of the job. I can’t wait to see who I meet next!

Bio:

I’m on a new professional adventure and I’m happy to start it here. I spent summer 2022 in Haines, AK working on jet boats that travel up into the Chilkat River drainage. After spending time with those boat captains I realized I would love to be a USCG 100 ton certified boat captain. To do that, I have to earn 360+ days (8 hours is one day) on the water in order to even take the captain’s exam. I hope to follow in the footsteps of Captain Jeff and Captain Ron. I am learning with and from the best and our crew makes every tour a joy.

I’m originally from Southwestern Colorado–a beautiful town called Pagosa Springs. I grew up landlocked and thriving in the deserts and the mountains; I didn’t know the water was calling me. While riding a fast ferry between Skagway and Haines, Alaska a captain told me about the Dolly Steamboat in Phoenix, AZ. I was stunned and instantly knew this was where I wanted to spend my winter season. I’ll be seasonal here on the Dolly and in Juneau, Alaska on whale watching tours.

Canyon Lake is unmatched in its beauty. I have seen a lot of places and hope to see many more but the Superstition Mountains, Four Peaks, the Tonto National Forest, Canyon Lake, and the Dolly Steamboat have set the standards high and I can’t be more fortunate! I love where we work and can’t wait for you to come see it.
